Joining a sorority is one of the biggest and most important decisions you will ever make.  Being an Alpha Sigma Tau allows you to become more involved on the University's campus, form bonds with like-minded individuals, and gives you a community within a community to prosper and mature throughout your college years.  There's more to joining a sorority than getting to wear letters on a sweatshirt.  You immediately have a group of people who share similar interests as you. You not only are part of the sorority at the University of Penn State Altoona, but you are part of a national organization with many chapters and a network of people. You and your sisters will develop a bond over time--and that bond keeps you anchored for life long past graduation.

We are the Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau at Penn State Altoona University.​ We pride ourselves on the diversity of our membership and our involvement on campus and in our community. Over the course of last year our greek organization had over 2,000 community service hours and the highest gpa.​ Among the sisters of AST, you will have no problem finding someone who shares the same passions and interests as you. Within our walls, you will find artists, athletes, s​cholars, leaders, creators, dreamers--all united under an amazing bond of sisterhood.​ Not only are lifelong friendships kindled, but there is also a security in being part of a family. If you want to be part of a group full of genuine, creative, and energetic women ready to welcome you, then Alpha Sigma Tau is the place for you.

In addition to our strong commitment to campus activities and the Greek Community, the Delta Omega chapter is an exceptionally well-rounded and fun group of girls.  We love to spend time with one another, whether it be watching movies, going to the gym, studying for exams, going to Penn State football games, going shopping, or grabbing some dinner!  I hope that you were able to learn a little about the Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau and please get to know us a little more and explore our website!
